College of Communication was a publication
titled ‘Fool My Eyes’: The Trompe L’oeil Index.
The aim of the project was to explore Trompe
L’oeil (the genre of optical illusions in art)
and how the art form has evolved over time to
be utilised in other mediums.
The cover itself is a visual exploration of
Trompe L’oeil, as I made the cover by creating
a dummy copy of the book, ripping holes in the blank cover, scanning the ripped cover and screenprinting those scans onto the cover, creating the appearance of holes through hyperrealistic imagery.
